Australian greens leader Sceptical over China's terrorism claims
Australia's Uighur community says it is sceptical about claims that the Chinese Government has foiled an Islamic terrorist plot centred on the Beijing Olympics.
The Chinese Government says 45 Uighur men from the north-western province of Xinjiang have been arrested for plotting attacks during the Games.
China says Uighur militants have been agitating to establish an independent East Turkestan in the predominantly Muslim north-western region, which borders Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asia.
Kuranda Seyit from Australia's World Uyghur Congress says the timing of the arrests is suspicious.
"I would be very surprised if there are any legitimate claims that there are people from that Eastern Turkestan region planning any type of terrorist attack," he said.
"I really believe that this is just a diversionary attempt to take the pressure off China because of what's happening in Tibet."
Greens leader Bob Brown says he also doubts the veracity of the Chinese claims.
Senator Brown says Chinese authorities have been making similar claims for several months.
"You simply don't know what to think because this is a police state that manufactures and manipulates the news to its own purposes," he said.
"I think the Olympics in Beijing will be as secure as any Olympics can be."

We Are Change UK - SOCPA Arrest
Simon from We Are Change UK gets arrested for demonstrating within the SOCPA Zone in London.
The Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (SOCPA) was introduced into the House of Commons on 24 November 2004 and was passed by Parliament and given Royal Assent in April 2005.
The Act is controversial primarily for an additional, entirely unrelated provision, which restricts the right to demonstrate within an exclusion zone of up to one kilometre from any point in Parliament Square. Demonstrators have to apply to the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police six days in advance, or if this is not reasonably practicable then no less than 24 hours in advance. No equivalent provision is made for any other Parliament in the United Kingdom.
In October 2007, the Home Office published a public consultation document, Managing Protest Around Parliament [5], which 'takes another look at sections 132-138 (of SOCPA) and explores whether there is another way to address the situation that would both uphold the right to protest while also giving police the powers they need to keep the peace'. Campaigners are worried that this document contains new threats to freedom of assembly and the right to protest in that is suggests that there could be 'harmonisation of powers to manage marches and assemblies' throughout the UK.

9/11 Questioned in European Parliament!
Members of We are Change UK were at the European Parliament in Brussels to watch the Premiere of Zero, a new film that questions the official version of events on 9/11. A panel of guests were in attendance to answer questions before and after the film. These included David Ray Griffin, Yukisha Fujita MP and Giullietto Chiesa MEP.
David Ray Griffin is one of the leading authors on 9/11, having written 6 books on the subject. His newest book looks at the 25 largest contradictions in the 9/11 Commission Report.

So you think you know where money comes from?

So where? Where does the money you have in your pocket and in your bank account come from?
Who created it?
It comes from the Government! ... Nope. It doesn't.
It comes from the Treasury! ... Nope. And that's part of the government.
It comes from the Mint! ... Nope. It doesn't, though they do print some.
It comes from the Bank of England! ... Generally Nope. Though they do have the ability.
Of all of the money we have, almost all of it is created by your local bank. Yes, created.
In the UK, the system of banking we use is called Fractional Reserve Banking. This is a system whereby the government allows the bank to hold a small reserve of any cash it has been given, and then loan out up to the value of the rest. They have to hold on to, on average, about 3% of the cash as "reserves".
The act of loaning out the cash literally creates new money. This is where all of our money comes from. I can feel the scepticism from here. The bank just loans out your money doesn't it, that doesn't create new money...
Well... This is how Fractional Reserve Banking creates new money. Lets pretend the reserve ratio is 10% for easy calculation.
1: The mint prints £100 and gives it to you (Person A).
2: You (Person A) take it to Bank A. They now have £100 in your bank account...
3: Someone else (Person B) goes to Bank A and borrows £90 at 5%. Bank A legally has to hold on to £10 as reserve.
4: Person B sticks the borrowed money into their bank account in Bank B. Bank B now has £90.
5: Person C comes along to Bank B and borrows £81 at 5%. Bank B holds on to £9 as reserves.
6: Person C sticks the £81 money into his account at Bank A.
Now...
Bank A now has 181 pounds in their accounts, Bank B has 90 pounds in their accounts...
That does not add up to the 100 pounds the mint originally printed. There is now, £271 worth of cash in our economy. There is £171 worth of new money.
Person A still has £100
Person B now has £90
Person C now has £81
Now, I don't know if you noticed, but as well as the £171 of money which has been created from nothing by the banks when the loans were taken out, there has also been £171 worth of debt created at exactly the same moment.
So there you have it. Almost all of our money (97% of the money in circulation) was created by your friendly local bank, wasn't that nice of them.
But wait.
They don't create this money from nothing for the good of their health. They are slaving over those hot books 8 hours a day to loan you that money they just created... from nothing... They charge interest on the cash which they created from nothing for your loan. They charge interest on the debt. But... if they charge interest, and 97% of our cash comes from loans, how can we repay all the debts?
I've established that almost all of our money is "borrowed into existence"... But if that's the case and the banks charge interest on it that means that more must be repaid than was ever created.
A £100 loan at 5%.
£100 cash and £100 of debt.
1 year later.
£100 cash and £105 of debt. Pay off £20.
1 year later.
£80 cash and £89 debt. Pay off £20.
1 year later.
£60 cash and £72 debt. Pay off £20.
1 year later.
£40 cash and £54 debt. pay off £20.
1 year later.
£20 cash and £35 debt. Pay off £20.
1 year later.
£0 cash and £16 debt...
Oops. No money left in the economy, there is none in existence but we still owe a debt of £16.
What's the solution? Well... What happens at the moment is we simply take out another larger loan to pay off the existing loan and interest and postpone the problem. The debts get larger every year and the amount of money and debt in the economy grows every year.
This is where all the money in our economy comes from and it is also where all the debt in the economy comes from. Our monetary system is debt based, we have trillions of pounds of money and even more trillions of pounds of debt.
So, our money is created by the high street banks; Abbey National, Alliance & Leicester, Barclays, HBOS, HSBC, Lloyds. It is created from debt we owe to these banks, it is not created by the government.

In his usual form, former U.N. weapons inspector Scott Ritter told a packed crowd at the Oriental Theater in Denver to stop whining about corporate media and become their own intelligence operatives. We the people have the same resources and tools that intelligence networks rely heavily on; it’s called “Google” he said.
In his hilarious analogy, the American people like baby birds wait each night in front of their television sets for the corporate news bird to land in their living room and lovingly puke down our necks with that day’s regurgitated news. Suggesting that as our own intelligence operatives we can’t allow CNN, FOX, NBC, and ABC to edit and cherry pick information, but ask questions and find the answers ourselves.
In that vein TruthAlliance.net Editor Jason Charles had a few questions for Mr. Ritter which he graciously allowed us to film. We explored 3 topics, if the Bush admin got its way in the mid-east what would it look like, how can these dis-separate yet justice driven revolutions in America unite, and his amazing thoughts on a new, fully empowered investigation into the cause of 9-11.
He asked, “Did Bush and Cheney Plan the demise of the building? Was this a terrorist attack by Al-Qaeda? Or was it something in between? Well frankly we don’t know.” How important is this to establishing justice? Mr. Ritter seems to think it is an “absolute requirement to know what happened on 9-11”

Scientific Study Finds Fluoride Horror Stories Factual
Industrial by-product consumed by millions of Australians lowers IQ, causes cancer

The establishment media will have to find a new tactic with which to ridicule those who oppose the fluoridation of water after a major new Scientific American report concluded that "Scientific attitudes toward fluoridation may be starting to shift" as new evidence emerges of the poison's link to disorders affecting teeth, bones, the brain and the thyroid gland, as well as lowering IQ.
"Today almost 60 percent of the U.S. population drinks fluoridated water, including residents of 46 of the nation’s 50 largest cities," reports Scientific American's Dan Fagin.
Fagin is an award-wining environmental reporter and Director of New York University's Science, Health and Environmental Reporting Program.
"Outside the U.S., fluoridation has spread to Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand and a few other countries. Critics of the practice have generally been dismissed as gadflies or zealots by mainstream researchers and public health agencies in those countries as well as the U.S. (In other nations, however, water fluoridation is rare and controversial.)"

Indeed, the zeitgeist for scoffing at those who spoke of the dangers of mass medicating the public against their will with fluoride was the deranged and paranoid character of General Ripper in the hit 1964 Peter Selllers movie Dr. Strangelove.
But that stereotype is quickly fading as serious scientific research uncovers proof that all the horror stories about sodium fluoride told down the decades are essentially true.
The Scientific American study "Concluded that fluoride can subtly alter endocrine function, especially in the thyroid -- the gland that produces hormones regulating growth and metabolism."
The report also notes that "a series of epidemiological studies in China have associated high fluoride exposures with lower IQ."
"Epidemiological studies and tests on lab animals suggest that high fluoride exposure increases the risk of bone fracture, especially in vulnerable populations such as the elderly and diabetics," writes Fagin.
Fagin interviewed Steven Levy, director of the Iowa Fluoride Study which tracked about 700 Iowa children for sixteen years. Nine-year-old "Iowa children who lived in communities where the water was fluoridated were 50 percent more likely to have mild fluorosis... than [nine-year-old] children living in nonfluoridated areas of the state," writes Fagin.
The study adds to a growing literature of shocking scientific studies proving fluoride's link with all manner of health defects, even as governments in the west, including recently the UK, make plans to mass medicate the population against their will with this deadly toxin.
In 2005, a study conducted at the Harvard School of Dental Health found that fluoride in tap water directly contributes to causing bone cancer in young boys.
"New American research suggests that boys exposed to fluoride between the ages of five and 10 will suffer an increased rate of osteosarcoma - bone cancer - between the ages of 10 and 19," according to a London Observer article about the study.
Based on the findings of the study, the respected Environmental Working Group lobbied to have fluoride in tap water be added to the US government's classified list of substances known or anticipated to cause cancer in humans.
Cancer rates in the U.S. have skyrocketed with one in three people now contracting the disease at some stage in their life.
The link to bone cancer has also been discovered by other scientists, but a controversy ensued after it emerged that Harvard Professor Chester Douglass, who downplayed the connection in his final report, was in fact editor-in-chief of The Colgate Oral Health Report, a quarterly newsletter funded by Colgate-Palmolive Co., which makes fluoridated toothpaste.
An August 2006 Chinese study found that fluoride in drinking water damages children's liver and kidney functions.
FACTS ABOUT FLUORIDE
- Fluoride is a waste by-product of the fertilizer and aluminum industry and it's also a Part II Poison under the UK Poisons Act 1972.
- Fluoride is one of the basic ingredients in both PROZAC (FLUoxetene Hydrochloride) and Sarin nerve gas (Isopropyl-Methyl-Phosphoryl FLUoride).
- USAF Major George R. Jordan testified before Un-American Activity committees of Congress in the 1950's that in his post as U.S.-Soviet liaison officer, the Soviets openly admitted to "Using the fluoride in the water supplies in their concentration camps, to make the prisoners stupid, docile, and subservient."
- The first occurrence of fluoridated drinking water on Earth was found in Germany's Nazi prison camps. The Gestapo had little concern about fluoride's supposed effect on children's teeth; their alleged reason for mass-medicating water with sodium fluoride was to sterilize humans and force the people in their concentration camps into calm submission. - 97% of western Europe has rejected fluoridated water due to the known health risks, however 10% of Britons drink it and the UK government is trying to fast track the fluoridation of the entire country's water supply.
- In Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg fluoridation of water was rejected because it was classified as compulsive medication against the subject's will and therefore violated fundamental human rights.
- In November of 2006, the American Dental Association (ADA) advised that parents should avoid giving babies fluoridated water.
- Sources of fluoride include: fluoride dental products, fluoride pesticides, fluoridated pharmaceuticals, processed foods made with fluoridated water, and tea.
